Sensitivity to Light

Is it hard to be near bright light? That might be one sign of dry eye. Sunglasses might help relieve some of the pain related to light sensitivity. If your eyes are constantly bothered by bright lights, schedule an appointment with our eye doctor if you want check if it is due to an underlying condition like dry eye. 

Red Eyes

Do you wake up with red eyes? Are you out and about and looking in a mirror quickly and noticing your eyes are red for no reason? That may be another sign of dry eye. Over the counter eye drops may relieve red eyes sometimes, but depending on how bad your dry eyes are, it may take prescription eye drops to relieve the redness. 

Difficulty with Contact Lenses
